About Me

Hi, I’m Tyler!

I’m a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and the founder of Beyond Pain. My work centers on helping people move better, feel stronger, and train with confidence, even when pain, injury, or setbacks have made that feel out of reach.

I started my career in the traditional healthcare system, but it didn’t take long to see the limitations. Everything felt rushed and rigid. There was rarely enough time to understand the full story behind someone’s pain. That experience is what pushed me to build something better.

My approach is shaped by years of work across inpatient rehab, outpatient ortho, sports medicine, and home health care. I’ve seen how people move, heal, and adapt in different environments. That experience showed me how important it is to treat each person as an individual. No two people recover the same way, and no plan should be copy-paste.

Fitness has always been a central part of my life. I’ve competed in CrossFit, powerlifting, road marathons, and even an ultramarathon. I understand what it feels like to chase performance goals, push through setbacks, and train through the ups and downs. That lived experience helps me connect deeply with the people I work with, especially those who want to keep training without giving up what they love.

In 2018, I started an online coaching business that has grown into what you see today. Since then, I’ve helped hundreds of people across the country move past pain, rebuild trust in their bodies, and get back to training hard without setbacks. My system blends evidence-based clinical strategies with strength and conditioning principles to support long-term progress, not just short-term fixes.

One of my biggest passions is education. Whether it’s a 50-person certification course, a 10-person online workshop, or a one-on-one call with a client, teaching energizes me. I believe that when people understand what’s happening in their body and why, they make better decisions, build more confidence, and stay more consistent.

In 2023, I opened a private physical therapy practice in Arvada, Colorado, after years of working as a travel physical therapist alongside my fiancée, Courtney. We practiced in a variety of settings and now call Denver home, where Courtney works as a canine physical therapist. Outside of work, we spend as much time as we can in the mountains with our dogs, Cascade and Porter.

Alongside clinical and coaching work, I teach for the Pain-Free Performance Specialist Certification (PPSC), helping fitness and healthcare professionals build performance without pain. I’m also writing a book for active adults and athletes who feel stuck in the cycle of pain and setbacks. It’s a guide to understanding your body, rebuilding confidence, and moving forward with clarity.

Whether it’s through physical therapy, coaching, education, or writing, my goal is to help people reclaim strength, confidence, and movement freedom so they can live and train without fear.

Happy you’re here.
